Ballastless track on bridges
The requirements that take into account the special conditions of this form of superstructure when used on bridges are explained. The subdivision into ballastless track on short bridges and ballastless track on long bridges is crucial. In contrast to bridges with ballasted track, where long‐term deformations of the bridge due to creep and shrinkage do not have to be considered because corrections can be carried out via tamping and lining work, such deformations must be taken into account in the design and installation of ballastless track on bridges.
