Proposed Regulations on Organic Establishing Priorities
When well intentioned groups urge the legislative and executive branches of government to enact laws and regulations on subjects such as cancer, priorities and costs are generally lost sight of. If people in the cities must pay the huge capital and operating costs required by the proposed regulations, there should be more evidence and less arbitrariness. Incomplete knowledge of health effects of contaminants and imperfect nature of measurement and treatment techniques indicate that the organic regulations are premature.
