Flood Frequencies Derived from Rainfall Data
Study, involving 36 basins, shows that rainfall need not be from problem basin and that data from one precipitation network can be used to synthesize streamflow data for number of basins; transposition of rainfall data and rainfall-runoff relations makes it possible to extend streamflow record of basins not having rainfall data, and greatly reduces cost of synthesizing streamflow data.
