Flood frequencies derived from river forecasting procedures
Design of culverts, of bridges, and other drainage structures requires estimate of peak annual discharge expected for some selected return period; record of peak annual discharge values was extended through use of precipitation data and river forecasting procedure; differences between frequency curves based on observed and estimated flood peaks were small.
