Construction Technique of Passing Floods over Earth Dams
The increasing necessity of using earth dams because of the diminishing number of sites suitable for the construction of masonry or concrete dams has created new problems in dam construction, more especially in locations where climatic, geologic, and topographic conditions tend to produce floods which, during construction, are difficult to control by conventional demces, such as tunnels or covered by-passes.
