Relation between Railway Track Alignment Irregularity and Gross Passing Tonnage
The authors conducted research on the changing regularity of local alignment irregularities with the gross passing tonnage and built the deterioration model of local alignment irregularities. And after analyzing the data of the Chengdu-Kunming Railway (Cheng-Kun Railway) administrated by the Kunming Railway Bureau, this paper provided forecasts of the development of alignment irregularities of the railway. In the paper, shorter track segment is taken as the study object. During a maintenance period, the trend of the amplitude of local alignment irregularities is increasing the curve line with gross passing tonnage rising. Railway Engineering manages alignment irregularities through four management standards which base on peak values of alignment irregularities. On the basis of the management standard, this paper has researched the changing regularity of alignment irregularities with gross passing tonnage in unit section and built the prediction model of the amplitude of alignment irregularities in unit section. Making use of the actual data of rail lines in our country, the paper has forecasted the development of alignment irregularities of the rail line. Examining combined transportation and dispatch data of the Cheng-Kun Railway of the Kunming Railways Bureau from March 2008 to December 2008, this paper calculated the gross passing tonnage in days and collected the relevant data measured by a track geometry car. Using statistics and probability theory and function, this paper analyzed the relation between the amplitude of alignment irregularity of lots (3 m in length) and gross passing tonnage and built the local alignment irregularities deterioration model to forecast the development of alignment irregularities. After comparing predicting data with actual data and analyzing the error, the accuracy of the model was verified.
