Finite Element Analysis of Concrete Filled Steel Tubular Column with a New Interface Element
Finite element analysis is carried out for two types of concrete filled steel tubular columns. A new interface element is proposed to express the behavior of the boundary between both materials. From the results, this analysis can predict the cyclic behavior and the ultimate strength of the columns with sufficient accuracy.
