Hybrid Base Isolation-Passive Mass Damper Systems
This paper considers the optimization design of hybrid base isolation — passive mass damper systems. The optimization of hybrid passive control system is performed by choosing the H2 norm as the objective function and employing genetic algorithms as function optimizer. Numerical simulations show that hybrid base isolation —passive mass damper systems can improve the performance of the original structure.
