Monitoring Data Based Traffic-load Effect Model for Arch Bridge Suspender
Focused on the problem that there was no traffic-load effect model for arch bridge suspenders, the health monitoring data based traffic-load effect model was studied. The composition modules and their functions of the bridge health monitoring system (BSHM) set up on a concrete-filled steel tube arch bridge was introduced to obtain daily traffic-load effect of suspenders. The section distribution of suspender traffic-load effect was researched using statistical approach based on the 579 monitoring data obtained by the BSHM. The probability distribution of maximum traffic-load effect on the suspenders during design reference period was given using Monte Carlo methods. The result shows that (1) the section distribution of suspender traffic-load effect follows lognormal distribution and the probability distribution of maximum traffic-load effect during design reference period follows generalized extreme-value distribution. The monitoring data based traffic-load effect model of suspender could reflect the real traffic-load situation of the bridge.
