Relocating A Local Landmark
As part of a first-of-its-kind agreement in Pennsylvania, a county and a township partnered to relocate the century-old Keller’s Covered Bridge, a single-span Burr arch truss structure listed in the National Register of Historic Places. While the local landmark continues to serve vehicular traffic in a new location, it has been replaced in its original setting with a contemporary bridge that can handle increased traffic volumes and meet modern safety standards.
