The Schiller Monument, in Schiller Park (previously Franklin Square) at Andrews and Franklin Streets. The monument, named after German playwright and poet Friedrich Schiller, was commissioned in 1908 by Rochester's German-American population. Once located at E. Main, Union and University Streets, it was moved for the building of the inner loop.
