ANALISIS PENGARUH VARIASI TUMBUKAN TERHADAP PEMADATAN PADA CAMPURAN ASPAL AC-BC (ASPHALT CONCRETE-BINDER COURSE)
Highway damage occurs before reaching the predetermined design life, both from structural and functional damage. The number of collisions is one factor that needs to be considered. Because, not always the more number of collisions produce a high stability value. This research aims at investigating the influence of variations on compaction of the AC-BC asphalt mixture (Asphalt Concrete-Binder Course). Location this research was conducted at the integrated laboratory of the University of Gorontalo. This research was conducted on variations in the number of collisons 2x65, 2x70, 2x75, 2x80, and 2x85 by using an optimum asphalts content of 5.5%. The findings reveral that variations in collisions of 2x65, 2x70, 2x75, 2x80, and 2x85 using an optimum asphalt content of 5.5%, all of them meet the specified specifications, but for the number of collisions which is effective with stability values, VIM (Cavities in the mixture), VMA (Vacities in aggregates), and Marshall Quantien which are optimum in 2x70 collisons, while for flow values, the more number of collisions, the higher the resulting flow value. And for VFB (cavity filled with asphalt) has a different value for each collisions but still meets the specified specifications.Kerusakan jalan raya saring terjadi sebelum mencapai umur rencana yang telah ditentukan baik dari kerusakan struktural maupun fungsional. Jumlah tumbukkan menjadi salah satu faktor yang perlu diperhatikan. Karena tidak selamanya semakin banyak jumlah tumbukan menghasilkan nilai stabilitas yang tinggi.
