Šilutės rajono turistinio patrauklumo vertinimas gamtinio turizmo kontekste ; Evaluation of tourist attractiveness of Šilutė district in the context of nature tourism
Šilutė District Municipality is rich with protected natural resources, including a regional park, 11 state reserves, a biosphere polygon, 3 state natural heritage objects, 55 lakes, 8 ponds, a marsh and forests. Considering the fact that the attractiveness of Šilutė as a tourism site has not been studied in the context of nature tourism (although it has great potential), this work and research will help evaluate the attractiveness of Šilutė District in the context of nature tourism. The information collected during the research will enable to assess the attractiveness of Šilutė as a tourism location in the context of nature tourism with the goal of purposeful development of nature tourism in the region. This work raises two questions: How attractive is nature tourism in Šilutė District? Which nature tourism objects, services and activities shape the attractiveness of Šilutė District in the context of nature tourism?
