A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
TUGAS DAN WEWENANG BALAI PENGELOLAAN DAERAH ALIRAN SUNGAI (BPDAS) DI KABUPATEN PADANG PARIAMAN
The watershed is a complex and intact ecosystem unity from upstream to downstream which is a gift and mandate from God Almighty that needs to be managed in an integrated and planned manner so that it can support sustainable development for the magnitude of people's prosperity, environmental problems that are in the spotlight The community is a watershed. The problems studied are: 1) What is the Duties and Authority of BPDAS in Watershed Management in Padang Pariaman Regency? 2) What are the obstacles faced by BPDAS in Watershed Management in Padang Pariaman Regency? 3) What is the Effort Made by BPDAS in Watershed Management in Padang Pariaman Regency ?. The author uses a research method with a sociological juridical problem approach based on primary data and secondary data, the nature of this research is descriptive, the results of the study show that: 1) The task of BPDAS namely, preparation of plans, implementation of forest and land rehabilitation as well as soil and water conservation institutional development , control of waters damage and evaluation of watershed management, and authority of BPDAS to prepare rehabilitation engineering plans, monitor watershed management, and present watershed management information. 2) Constraints Faced by BPDAS In Watershed Management, lack of community awareness, difficulty in rehabilitating due to natural disasters, critical land due to rain above normal 3) Efforts by BPDAS by presenting watershed management information to the community, carrying out rehabilitation, monitoring and evaluating watershed management.Keywords:BPDAS Duties and Authority
