Resistance investigation of timber beam-to-beam connection using self-drilling dowels is not enough developed. For that reason in this work analysed theoretical methods of calculation and get to know the best method. Analysed scientific literature is closely related resistance investigation of timber beam-to-beam, their behaviour of bending. The widely known timber beam-to-beam connections with steel elements are discussed. Theoretical break-up ways and means of timber construction in bending are summarized. In research part of the work submitted three different theoretical methods of timber beam-to-beam calculation of bending moment using different type of methods from STR and Eurocode 5. Different type of theoretical calculation methods gives various means of bending moment. In experimental part of the work is investigated resistance of timber beam-to-beam connection. Experimental research: yield stress determination of self-drilling dowels, determination test of timber moisture content, resistance investigation of timber beam-to-beam connection. The results of experiment are compared with theoretical results. Structure: introduction, literature review, theoretical calculation, experimental studies, comparison of the results, conclusion , literature list. Thesis consist of: 61 p. text without appendixes, 43 pictures, 8 tables, 18 bibliographical entries.
