There is a rapid suburbanization process in Kaunas District Municipality, but it is not precisely defined how the built-up areas are spreading. In order to identify the development parameters, it is investigated the connection between the built up territories and spread of suburbanization causing factors,land use, the functional priorities of the general plan.
