Since the aim of the master thesis is to research the application of conflict management strategies during work at Lithuanian pharmacies, the participants ware invited to involve themselves in an open type discussion (discussion method). It was followed by quantitative research – a questionnaire, which consisted of not onlyclosed questions, but also gave the respondents and opportunity to openly and anonymously disclose the situations and problems they most often encounter while resolving conflicts. The questionnaire was analyzed using the grounded theory content data analysis method. Therefore, most of the questions contain a certain conflict management method. The questionnaire was structured using Excel. Results: The most common conflicts arise due to the lack of information between the patient and the pharmacy specialist. Their frequency ranges from 2.1 times per week up to 3.75 times per week. During the discussions, the respondents noted, that experience and self-relaxation helps in managing conflicts. However, during the survey, only 299 respondents, 41% of those surveyed, ware able to rank themselves as knowledgeable on how to manage a conflict so that both sides achieve their desired result. 80% (N = 422) of respondents’state, that the choice of a conflict management strategy is determined by the assessment of the emotional well-being of the analyst and the opponent. Conclusions: In the opinion of the research participants, pharmacy specialists working in Lithuania have limited practical skills and theoretical knowledge about conflict management strategies and the benefits of their application.
