In this master thesis, the facility management of office buildings in Lithuania and abroad is analysed. The first part of the thesis deals with theoretical aspects of facility management by analysing the concept and composite parts of facility management, building classifications in Lithuania and the technologies applied in facility management. In the second part, the management of office buildings in Lithuania is analysed, reviewing important economic indicators and office buildings of major Lithuanian cities. The third part of the thesis analyses the facility management of office buildings in foreign countries – the United States, Norway, Latvia and Italy – through an overview of important economic indicators and office buildings. In the fourth part, the PEST analysis of aforesaid countries of office market and the SWOT analysis of facility management of office buildings are carried out and the recommendations for improving the efficiency of facility management of office buildings in Lithuania are given. After examining the theoretical and practical aspects of facility management of office buildings, the conclusions and recommendations of this thesis are presented.
