KAJIAN EKSPERIMEN PENGARUH PERUBAHAN SUDUT STAGGER TERHADAP KINERJA TURBIN AIR TIPE SAVONIUS DENGAN MYRING n = 1
Electricity is one of supporting human needs everyday. The need for electricity from time to time is increasing, this needs technology that runs with the help of electricity. For fill the electricity needs in this modern era there are still a lot of people depend on the energy of petroleum, natural gas and coal which are very limited. natural potential to be used continuously will run out. The use of renewable and environmentally friendly alternative energy sources is the right choice to overcome this dependence. The potential for water energy in Indonesia is very high, this is one of alternative that can be used to generate electricity. A device that can convert energy from water into the energy needed to use water as requested by an water turbine. An water turbine is a device that utilizes fluid flow to rotate the rotor turbine. The shaft that is rotated with the turbine rotor will also be rotated. This study discusses about water turbine type savonious which is equipped with a blade turbine shape that matches the ratio of myring n = 1 and the circular cylinder coupling set arranged in front advances the blade as a barrier. The method used in this study is an experiment. The results obtained in this study are the use of circular cylinders that are placed in front of the blade advancing the blade very betting on improving turbine performance. This can be proven by placing circular cylinders with ds / D = 0.3, S / D = 0.95, and θ = 60o an increase of 3.37%, ds / D = 0.4 with θ = 60o increasing amounting to 7.26%.
