The research work deals with the regeneration of the endangered architectural typology - manor complexes. It examines the reasons why buildings of architectural, historical and cultural value are disappearing. It analyses the causal factors, such as the location of the estate complexes, the specificities of restoration and reconstruction (time and budget) and the possibilities of adapting the building complexes. The study analyses the adaptation, regeneration and conversion of the manor complexes, preserving the valuable features, but also taking into account the problems of complex exploitation. It seeks to find links and methodologies for the regeneration of dilapidated buildings without violating the legislation and without carrying out a full-scale cultural heritage management project.
