In der Wettbewerbs- und Anfangsphase des Projekts gab es noch keine konkreten Anforderungen oder Gedanken zur Tragstruktur des Besucherzentrums Park Vijversburg. Nach nur wenigen Besprechungen mit den Architekten war jedoch allen Beteiligten klar, dass das Tragwerk so minimalistisch wie möglich sein sollte, um den Blick in den Park nicht zu beeinträchtigen.
During the competition and initial phases of the project, there were no specific requirements or thoughts about the load-bearing structure of the Vijversburg Park visitor centre. It was soon clear to everyone that the structure should be as minimalistic as possible in order not to detract from the view of the park.
