Unauffällig duckt sich das neue Besucherzentrum des Yorkshire Sculpture Parks in die sanft hügelige Wiesenlandschaft zwischen Leeds und Sheffield. Lediglich über einem Teil des Gebäudes macht ein Aufbau aus geschwungenen, transluzenten GFK-Platten auf sich aufmerksam.
The new visitor centre for Yorkshire Sculpture Park sits unassumingly in the gently hilly landscape of meadows that extends between Leeds and Sheffield. Only a scalloped “box” made of curved, translucent GRP panels that sits above part of building draws attention to itself.
