Urban voids are structural morphological elements of cities; they are essential to understand how cities are born and change. As part of the urban morphology, voids can be the object of changes, and they play an important role in the reorganization, planning, and use of cities of different sizes. This study investigates the urban morphology of the city of Franco da Rocha, Brazil, with special emphasis on its urban voids, particularly those with environmental preservation potential. They would be considered preservation voids.
