The collective action against what is denounced as an unfair environmental order expresses itself at two levels: a- at the levei of the objective distribution of environmental effects of the social practices, reflecting the distinct amounts of power over environmental resources between the different social groups and b- at the level of discourse, where are established different representations of the world, the environment justice etc. At this last level, we'll find the debate about the legitimacy of the distribution pattern of power over resources. The present text analyses the way through which the movements for environmental justice act at the practical and discursive levels. refusing the reproduction of the inequality of power over resources and protesting against domination relations resulting from the discriminatory imposition of environmental harms.
