A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
This is the second paper in a set of five papers devoted to business strategy. This paper deals with military strategy as an origin for all kinds of business strategy. For a correct understanding of the complex concept of strategy, one should start from the question: "Why? why do I need a strategy at all?" Strategy arose from the need of people to defeat their enemies, and for centuries the ideas of what to do and how to win have been tested and confirmed through the practice of warfare. War is one of the most complex human endeavors in which all the available resources of the state and society are involved, and the strategy tells us where and which resources we will use to achieve the goal. Therefore, knowing military strategy is the first step towards business strategy.
