Ripple tank study of wave refraction
Refraction of uniform waves on beach of constant slope studied in ripple tank to determine effectiveness of Snell's Law for predicting wave refraction; law was verified by analyzing photographic records of wave refraction on model beach; study covers three different slopes, 1:20, 1:40 and 1:60, three angles of orientation, 15, 34, and 50°, and several wave periods and water depths.
