Genissiat Dam
Dam being built in one of narrow gorges of Rhone; designed for max water level of 335.7 m; total height above alluvial bed of river 80 m and crest over 110 m above lowest part of foundations; body of dam divided up into monolithic concrete masses, 15 m to 20 m in width; details of diversion tunnels, tunnel excavation, sluice gates and cofferdams, hydraulic model experiments, navigation canal, and power plant.
