Pneumatic barrier against salt water intrusion
In rivers subject to salt water intrusion, bubbles of air from perforated pipes on river bottom can be used to create upward flow of salt water and thus mixing between fresh and salt water layers; when upward flow reaches absolute maximum of salt water discharge salt water will be unable to penetrate bubble "curtains"; such installations may provide answer to salt water problem in many rivers.
