Behavior of rigid portal frame subjected to pulse of loading is analyzed, making assumption that material has rigid-plastic characteristics; it is shown that structure may deform in part of its motion with more than one degree of freedom; examination is made of influence on motion of strain hardening of material and of large changes of structural geometry.
