Analysis of dynamic behavior of roads subject to longitudinally moving loads
Flexural motion of long road pavement of unit width, viscously damped and uniformly supported by elastic subgrade, was found for case of steady, normal, concentrated load moving longitudinally at constant velocity; deflections of pavement were written in terms of roots of characteristic equation associated with equation of motion of pavement; for heavy damping in subgrade and increasing load velocity, maximum deflection decreases from corresponding static value.
