Problems associated with design of small craft harbors created by difference in response to wave phenomena of small craft and large ships are discussed; problems experienced by Corps of Engineers, and methods used to overcome them, are examined; principal harbors investigated are Marina del Rey, Calif, Redondo Beach-King Harbor, Calif, Half-Moon Bay Harbor, Calif, Scarboro Harbor, Me, and 2 harbors in Great Lakes.
