Hydraulic model studies of boundary hydroelectric project
Investigations conducted on 1- to -65 scale comprehensive model of hydroelectric project for Seattle, Wash included section of river approximately 1/2 mi in length providing adequate sections of river, upstream and downstream, for proper development of flow; structures modeled included diversion tunnel, intake channel, dam, spillways, draft tubes, and sluiceways; 1- to -25 scale model was constructed for study of sluiceway design; investigations resulted in revisions to intake channel, sluice ring, sluiceway geometry, spillways, cofferdam, and trashrack structure.
