    Plasma remelting makes it possible to produce ingots with good surface; contents of basic alloying elements in metal undergo no change; amount of gases is reduced by 25 to 30%; there is substantial reduction in amount of inclusions of all types, especially oxides; amount of dressing required is basically same as that for electroslag remelted product.
