On geotechnical classification of terrain
Many practical and theoretical problems could be more satisfactorily solved if approach based on universal medium is replaced by that based on "natural structure" whose component parts are rock masses -- lithological bodies; advantages of this approach are illustrated by problem of decreased stability of natural and man-made slopes in limestone-Flysch complex.
