Iraq's first television station
Prefabricated transmitting station, consists of two adjoining buildings erected on concrete raft foundation; 500-w vision and 250-w sound transmitters are sufficiently powerful to cover whole of Baghdad; system used is 625-line standard CCIR signal transmitted on Band III, and frequencies are 196.25 mc/d vision and 201.75 mc/s sound.
