Use of Diesel engines in poorly ventilated tunnels and excavations in construction of 6th Ave subway in New York City; Bureau of Mines test and other data show that exhaust gas from Diesel engines is not toxic; data show that Diesel may be used in perfect safety in tunnels or mines, and any system of ventilation sufficient to supply air to mine or tunnel personnel will be ample to meet Diesel requirements.
