A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Results of photoelastic and large scale tests of models of two-kneed steel H girders, 1.84 m deep and about 30 m long, used in construction of platform roof of new railroad station of Florence, Italy; longitudinal axis of girders presents broken line with two points of inflection affording non-uniform clearance over platform; analytic theory of design of non-rectilinear girders; tests of full size girders after erection.
