South bank Thames River wall
Wall under construction for protection of Thames river is plain concrete structure with granite facing and is being constructed within steel sheet pile cofferdam; for curved battered concrete face below granite facing, panels of shuttering are used; vertical 3/4 in. expansion joints at intervals of 180 ft are filled with elastic joint filler; max height of wall from foundation base on clay up to top is 43.75 ft.
