Bridge renewal at Stamford brook, London transport
80-yr old structure carried two tracks of 4-track District and Piccadilly lines across coal sidings of London Midland Region; spans being replaced are of wrought iron; new bridge has been lifted in four separate spans, two for each track; spans are being decked with reinforced concrete, waterproofed and covered with blue brindle tiles to carry ballasted track; hand railings are incorporated instead of parapet girders.
