Theoretical and practical determination of friction factors for vehicular tunnel ventilation ducts
Experimental work was carried out in Mersey Tunnel ducts (England) to attempt to determine values of friction factor accurately by means of detailed quantity and pressure drop surveys; results of calculations of practical friction factors from these surveys show that they can be used in theoretical calculations to forecast pressure drops required for similar ducts.
