How to build roof first and dig reservoir later
Construction procedure used at Tustin, Calif, in building 115× 135 ft reservoir of 1,500,000 gal capacity; after site was leveled to grade, 30-in. holes were bored with rotary auger and columns were assembled in reinforcing cages and then poured up to level of drop panel; roof slab was poured on original ground and reservoir was then excavated; drawing shows structural details.
