Vibrated concrete and mortar cubes: distribution of compressive strength
In each of four series of tests, water cement ratio was constant, but varied from series to series; wide variations in fine aggregate grading had no effect on compressive strength providing full compaction had been obtained; test procedure; range of results obtained from mortar cube series was twice that obtained from concrete series.
