To make new 50,000-sq ft manufacturing plant near Tacoma, Wash, earthquake resistant, number of connections were reduced by employing cantilevered girders and eliminating joists for roof slab; columns 16 in. square take all seismic forces; most of girders are 61 ft long; center span is 38 ft 3 in.; cantilevers measures 12 ft 8 in. and 10 ft 2 in.
