A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Research was conducted to determine maximum allowable percentage of carbon monoxide; final check was obtained by building model tunnel at experimental mine of Bureau of Mines; important factors in maintaining adequate ventilation are automatic carbon-monoxide recording machines. (See also Engrs.' Club of St. Louis -- Jl vol. 8, no. 10, Oct. 1928 pp. 4-5)
