A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Research was conducted to determine maximum allowable percentage of carbon monoxide; final check was obtained by building model tunnel at experimental mine of Bureau of Mines; important factors in maintaining adequate ventilation are automatic carbon-monoxide recording machines. (see also Mich. Technic, vol. 42, no. 2, Nov. 1928, pp. 11 and 28)
