Anchoring and draining underground steam lines
Arrangement of details of steam transmission line; if anchor points alternate with expansion points, it may be possible to reduce number of points along line that must be constructed large enough to permit examination and attention to expansion joints; stress to which anchorage is subjected is much less than where anchorage and expansion joint are located together; all underground steam lines should slope downward in direction of steam flow.
