Culvert jacking method found economical in laying water mains through embankments in Sacramento
Recent experience of Sacramento, Calif., in placing water-main tunnels, under Northern Electric and Southern Pacific Co. railroad tracks, showed that by use of 60-in. diam. corrugated pipe installed by jacking method, more than half of estimated expense by alternative methods was saved.
