Original bridge consisted of six cast-iron arch ribs with clear span of 236 ft. 6 in.; new bridge also has only single span; it is of three-pinned arch type; span is 375 ft. and its rise is 105 ft.; to permit this increased span abutments have had to be set further back from river; details of construction.
