Formal opening by Duke of York; origin of bridge; new bridge has span of 375 ft., and two main arch members are three-pinned type; width of bridge 80 ft., roadway 58 ft. and foot paths 15 ft. 9 in., clear height for shipping has been increased to 85 ft. 6 in. above high water; constructional methods; road and foot path.
