Influence of iron oxide on rate ot quartz inversion in lime and lime-clay bonded silica bricks
Review of research; present investigation shows that in series of lime-bonded silica brick repeatedly fired to cone 16-17, greater part of quartz had inverted to tridymite at seventh firing, but there was still some unchanged quartz after firing 11 times.
